Race

Race on Ivalice is something that is only used for RP purposes and therefore doesn't affect any of your attributes nor does it affect non-RP gameplay in any way. This might change later, but for now you are free to pick any Final Fantasy-related race as your own. The only thing you neeed to do is reflect it in your description.

Of course, there are some restrictions:

• the combination of your race, gender and class mustn't contradict Final Fantasy canon, so male Mithra is not an appropriate choice;
• robots or cyborgs have been shown not to work within the roleplay environment of Ivalice, and so are forbidden to be use as a player race.
• were creatures (werewolf, wererat) are also unacceptable

Some of the most common races you can pick are:

• Human/Hume
• Albhed
• Elf
• Elvaan
• Dwarf
• Esper
• Mithra
• Ronso
• Galka
• Guado
• Tarutaru
• Moogle
• Creimire (Most commonly known as 'Burmecian')

Of course this is an open list, and you are free to pick any intelligent race shown in Final Fantasy as your own. If in doubt, consult the staff.
